Mervyn Ruben

Mervyn is one of the founding directors of Singer Ruben Partners, with a 40+ year accounting and auditing career that began in South Africa.
Over the years, he has worked for clients across an array of industries – from manufacturing and construction to agriculture and IT. This has given him a deep understanding of the complex financial issues all types of businesses and people face.
As a Director of Singer Ruben since day one, Mervyn is still working with many of his first clients and their families. This is testament to the deep level of trust he has built across generations.
Josh Richter

With over a decade of experience, Josh has built a reputation for delivering clear and proactive advice in a caring and consultative manner.
He develops deep and holistic relationships with people and thrives on the trust others place in him.
Josh acts for a diverse client base across many sectors – including medical, allied health, IT, hospitality, importing and property investment.
Before joining Singer Ruben Partners, Josh was an adviser in the private client space where he worked for a Big 4 and for one of Melbourne’s premier boutique accounting practices.
Robin Filipou

Robin joined Singer Ruben Partners in 1995.
In her role today as Senior Accountant, she advises clients on their federal and state taxes, helps with their support packages, maintains their software and liaises with their bookkeepers.
She also oversees their income tax returns, financial statements and BAS.
Robin deeply values the family feel of Singer Ruben Partners and appreciates how everyone helps each other out. She believes this is key to achieving great results for clients.
Sandy Luong

Sandy has been on the team since 2005, primarily assisting our small business clients with compliance.
She has extensive experience in preparing financial statements and tax returns, plus auditing all types of entities – from SMSFs to publicly listed companies and everything in between.
Sandy loves the friendliness and flexibility of the Singer Ruben Partners workplace culture and its close-knit team.
Jean Marc Thoondee

Jean Marc began his accounting career at a large FMCG in his hometown of Mauritius.
When he came to Australia in 2008, he met Barry Singer through a chance encounter. Following this, Barry offered him a graduate role; an opportunity which Jean Marc seized with both hands.
Fast-forward to today, and his role now involves preparing financial statements and tax returns, assisting the directors, and liaising with clients and the ATO.
Building his expertise and confidence over the years has been incredibly fulfilling for Jean Marc. Likewise, the team continues to enjoy watching him grow – both professionally and personally.
Alba Orozco Gonzalez

Alba joined Singer Ruben Partners as an intern in 2012. Then after graduating from her Master of Accounting, we were delighted to offer her a permanent position.
Her role today involves preparing financial statements and income tax returns – and undertaking tax reporting for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies.
Always eager to learn and face a challenge, Alba values the collaborative and proactive workplace culture at Singer Ruben Partners.
